California is having a super bloom of wildflowers in the desert areas. Maybe the best super bloom in decades because of our very wet winter.
The closest patch of super blooms is the Antelope Valley Poppy Preserve in Lancaster which is about 90 minutes from us. I didn\’t want to miss seeing the super bloom so on Friday I dropped Quinn off at school and hit the road.
I pulled over to capture this carpeting of yellow wild flowers.
A Joshua Tree at the entrance to the park.
Get ready for an overload of poppy pictures!
I had a couple of hours in the park, which wasn\’t enough. When I left around noon there was a line of cars waiting to get in.
