March Stuff

For our weekly hike, Amy and I drove to Malibu to walk along the Point Dome Natural Preserve. The trails starts on the beach and then it continues on top of the cliffs. A new stairway to the Point Dome Cove was just opened so we checked that out.

Some greenery and flowers from recent hikes. The orange California Poppies and purple Lupins are really beautiful right now.

A couple of pictures from neighborhood walks. I found a huge patch a lupins above one of the streets.

Quinn and his friends. First pic was from the “Mean Girls” performance at the high school — the guys went to see Lex perform. Second pic is a birthday pizza and movie party. The kids shuffle that stuffed animal around from house to house — it originated from a visit to Build-a-Bear several years ago.

Our tuba guy. The school performed at a local music festival and were scored an Outstanding. And a rare occurrence of our tuba player practicing.

CSUF Music Festival

On Friday Quinn’s Wind Orchestra band participated in the Cal State Fullerton Music Festival. With Quinn’s permission, I volunteered to chaperone.

We left the school at 8:30 am and arrived at the Anaheim Packing House for lunch around 10:30 am. We got there a little early so we hung out at a nearby park. Quinn and Danny (his buddy from Tuba Christmas). The Packing House is a big warehouse filled with little restaurants and shops. The kids loved it.
