We had a very productive and tiring week in California but it paid off because we have a contract on our dream home and we found a wonderful school for Quinn.

Although we lived in SoCal for 4 years, it\’s very different going back with a 5 year old. Ultimately we decided we wanted to live in Thousand Oaks in a neighborhood that feeds to a specific school system. Because of our timing we won\’t be able to get Quinn in to our \”home\” elementary school this year but we hope to move him for 1st grade.

After looking at several schools we found a school that we think will be a perfect fit for him, Pinecrest School. He will start kindergarten here on September 3 and we will go from there.

Now on to our house. We were so happy to see Patty who happens to be our friend and realtor. We looked at alot of houses in alot of areas. On Tuesday morning we met for coffee and Patty showed me a brand new listing for a house in TO with a pool in our desired school district. By the end of the day we made an offer. By the next day they had received 2 additional offers. Their agent told Patty that the sellers really loved the letter we wrote and wanted us to have the house. After a little bit of negotiating everyone was happy and we have our dream house.

There is something really special about this house with special touches where ever you look. We looked at another house that was this exact same model and the two didn\’t compare.

Quinn has already chosen this bedroom as his. He liked it because there was a computer in the room and expects to have \”his\” computer in his bedroom. Sorry kiddo!

There is a large loft area between the master bedroom and other bedrooms. The current owners have it set up as TV/Office space. I\’m not sure what we will do with this space yet.
