Weekend in Ventura

Don ran a half marathon in Ventura in Sunday so we decided to make a weekend out of it.  We went down Saturday afternoon and spent the night.

Of course we took our bikes and went on a nice long ride beside the ocean.  Quinn continues to gain confidence and improve his skills.

Pit stop at the turn around point.  Quinn going on a little adventure.

We had a nice view from our room and you know how I love my sunsets.

I went down to the beach to take some pictures and saw this.  A husband arranged for a catered sunset dinner on the beach.  Awe 🙂

Even after the sunset the surfers were still out there.

Our hotel on the left and a view towards the town of Ventura.  And yes, I am loving my out of focus pics these days.

My twinkle toes on Sunday morning.

While Don was recovering from the race Quinn and I spent some time on the beach.

Quinn loves this dragonfly!

First Family Bike

After some practice on Saturday we thought Quinn was ready to go on a family bike trip.

We took the bikes down to Ventura and biked along the ocean.  Quinn loved it and did so well.  He still needs help getting started but once he gets going he\’s able to make turns, adjust his speed, and not run in to anything.  We even had some races at the end of our trip 🙂

Friday Night Fun

This is the kind of fun we have at our house on Friday night.

Don was explaining the Fibonacci Sequence to his boss and thought that Quinn might enjoy learning about it to.  I knew a little bit about it because it was in The DiVinci Code.

Here\’s Friday night\’s lesson that Quinn very much enjoyed.

The drawing of Cobra Turthele was done on the back of the Fibonacci Sequence lesson.    With all it\’s powers, etc.
