Visit with Grandpa and Grandma

Quinn was very excited about having his Grandpa and Grandma here for a visit.
It seems that our holiday tradition is to go hiking on the Hill Canyon trail so off we went on Easter afternoon.

On Monday we visited the LACMA.  Quinn did a great job holding up the \”levitating mass\”.

This is just about perfect.

A trip to Leo Carrillo beach on a very windy day.

Making a cake for Grandpa\’s birthday.

When Grandpa was growing up he wasn\’t allowed to blow on the cake and cover it with germs.  So he took a huge breath in and then waved his hands furiously until the candles went out.

Someone thought that was beyond hilarious.

A great week and a great visit!

Easter Morning

Quinn was thoroughly unimpressed with Easter this year.  He bi-passed his Easter basket with barely a glance.
Around noon I finally convinced him to hunt for Easter Eggs.   Like our family portrait?

The Easter Bunny left him a note saying that 10 eggs were hidden outside.

His buddy by his side.

Astro Turf

I couldn\’t deal with this anymore.  Dead grass and dirt.  Our beautiful backyard has turned in to an eye sore.  But what do you grow in small area that is constantly blasted with pet waste?

Astro Turf, EcoGrass, whatever you want to call it.

It looks like a putting green but I love it. They put in a special underlayer to help with drainage and prep it with a dog in mind.  And what really sold me is that they will recycle the \”grass\” if we end up not liking it.  For now, I\’m loving it!!!
