Week in Maryland

Quinn and I spent Spring Break in Maryland.

On our way….

We celebrated Alex\’s 27th (!!!!!) Birthday with Pam and family.

Ben has tremendous upper body strength and can shoot from great distances. Impressive!

I met Stacey in Frederick for lunch one day (this is her picture).

And then Danielle & family drove down to spend a couple of days with us. We met at a nature center close to moms house. The boys jumped right in!

The next day we went to another local park. Lots to do and lotsa fun!

Danielle, Quinn, Kaiden, and I hiked up to this gorgeous waterfall. Quinn & Kaiden hopped like Spiderman over all the rocks to get to the top.

Visit from the Idaho Cantelos

We were lucky to get a visit from Ross, Tamara, Sami, and Ty during their Spring Break and we had a great 5 days!

We went to Malibu and had lunch at Malibu Seafood where we saw Vin Diesel. Ty was sly and captured a video of him and here is a screen shot from the video.

Then on to the Zuma Beach in Malibu. It started out OK but got really windy so we didn\’t stay too long.

There was a big crew filming on the beach and Ross went up to check it out. He saw a \”crashed\” airplane. While googling around, he discovered that the final scene from Planet of the Apes was filmed on that beach. Sure enough, that\’s Zuma Beach.

After the windy beach, we headed home to laze in the warm pool. Don was kind enough to heat it to 90 degrees for us so we had many lazy daze in the pool.

And lots of fun in the evenings sitting in the hot tub.

We spent a day at Venice Beach where Don and Ross were recruited by these street performers. They were looking for tall, rich white guys.

Cub Scout Hike

Quinn\’s Cub Scout den went on their annual hike in Lang Ranch.

First it\’s snack time and a lesson on the do\’s and don\’ts when hiking.

A climb up Heart Attack Hill!

We conquered that hill!

All the scouts with their feet off the ground!

Most of the boys were moaning and groaning on their way up the hill that they were sooooo tired. And then they ran all the way back down the hill and to the trail head. Funny boys!
