Captain Nudie Pants

On Easter Morning the Easter Bunny hid eggs all over our back yard.  Quinn, Don, Barb, Sonic and I were all outside helping Quinn find his easter eggs.  Sonic decided to take a dip in the pool so I closed the back door so he wouldn\’t run in to the house soaking wet.

All the eggs have been found and we go to the backdoor….and it\’s locked!  We check all the doors and they are all locked.  We are locked out!

I thought Quinn might be able to get through the very small doggy door so I worked at getting that \”unlocked\” and was able to do so.

Quinn wriggled and slithered through the doggy door and on his way through his pants ended up around his ankles.  Our hero pulled up his pants and ran to the back door and saved the family!!

Our new hero Captain Nudie Pants!!  Yes, kids can help adults and this kid saved the family!

The doggy door was made for a very small dog — here is Sonic next to the door.

April Fools

Quinn and I love April Fools Day.  Quinn probably wishes it lasted all year.  Don was our victim this year.

April Fool\’s Eve Quinn decided to line up Don\’s bathroom counter with all the toothbrushing supplies.

Quinn and I squirted bubble bath all over the dry bathtub so that when Don woke up his morning bath would be pleasantly bubbly.
And we switched Don and Quinn\’s underwear and sock drawers.  Don was a very good sport and had a good chuckle.

And then Quinn got a bowl of dog kibble in his cereal bowl.  He thought it was pretty hysterical.    If you look closely you can see that Don texted a picture of himself in his bubble bath to Quinn.  Quinn\’s response…OMG.

Story About a Remote

Saturday afternoon Sonic goes upstairs and it\’s too quiet.  This is what I found.

I was telling Sonic how mad I was at him and Quinn got in on the conversation.    I asked Quinn if he still loved his dog and his reply was \”I\’m not happy with him but I still love him\”.  Wow.  What a great kid.
Then I noticed he was on the verge of tears and I asked him what was wrong.  And he was very sad that now he wouldn\’t be able to play his wiiU.   I assured him we could turn it on manually.  But he was still sad because he didn\’t understand why Sonic would ruin one of our things.
Long conversation.  The wiiU is on and I\’m blogging.  I love our sweet kind hearted boy.
