Bahama Mamas – Part II

On Thursday we woke up to a beautiful, sunny day. It was still cool (65ish degrees) but the wind had calmed and the sun was out.

Here\’s a message for Don.

A look down the beach. I want to dive right in!

An ode to Billy Joe\’s for Pam. She said this place serves great food.

I love this shape that Quinn left in the sand…

Yes, I was there!

Bahama Mamas – Part I

With all the snow this winter, Mom and I decided to grab Quinn and flee to the Bahamas. I think it was a wise decision.

Quinn was a really great traveler all the way there. Here we are in the Charlotte airport waiting for our flight to Freeport.

And Quinn loved Jeff Gordon\’s racing car — he wanted to climb in and drive.

We made it! We hit the beach around 3 pm and enjoyed the last bits of sun…and a Goombay Smash (rum drink). Quinn got right down to business. I love the colors of the ocean!
The next morning we woke up to some wild winds and crashing waves. Unfortunately the wind stuck around for a couple of days.

We couldn\’t go to the beach because the wind was whipping the sand around. Poor Quinn was digging in sand wherever he could find it…even a crack in the sidewalk.

We found a partially enclosed area where Quinn could dig in the sand and mom could find shelter.

So happy together!

Fun in the Bahamas

Mom, Quinn, and I ran off to the Bahamas for a quick escape. We are enjoying the sun and the sand. The surf is still a little chilly so just our toes are enjoying the surf. Quinn is having a great time digging in the sand and splashing his toes in the pool (which is even colder than da ocean). Every time we get around the pool, Quinn paddles his arms and says 'I can swim!'.

Having a great time!
