The Moon Followed Us Home

Yesterday in the late afternoon we were driving home from a failed adventure when Quinn noticed the almost full moon high in the sky.  He kept an eye on it to make sure that it followed us home.  Once we got home Don found the binoculars and they went out to get a closer look at the moon.

I\’m not sure what\’s being said here but I can tell that Quinn is asking or explaining something.  

Then Quinn\’s smart Papa took him upstairs to get an even closer look of the moon on the computer.  Over  dinner Quinn taught me all about the craters on the moon and how they are formed by asteroids.

Race Car Driver

Our little man has proclaimed that he wants to be a race car driver when he grows up.  A couple days after that proclamation I ran across this great shirt.

Oh, and he loves to make funny faces whenever I pull out my camera.  I think we\’ll be seeing alot of this tongue in 2012.

New Year\’s Day Photos

On New Year\’s Day 2008, Don took a bunch of pictures of Quinn and I.  This was one of my favorites from that day.   Look at that chubby, chubby Quinn.

We repeated the process on New Year\’s Day 2009 in Seattle.  Again my favorite from that day.  If I remember correctly, Quinn wasn\’t in a very cooperative stage.  He would have been about 15 months old.

And 2010 in NJ.

We skipped 2011 and here we are at New Year\’s Day 2012.  Here are my faves.

Miss Bess taught Quinn how to sit \’criss-cross-applesauce\’ (although I hope he\’s not sitting on her back ;). 

This last one is my favorite of the bunch.

I\’m still wearing that pink shirt but we decided Quinn should probably have on my than his Thomas undies this year.
