Renaissance Fair

This past weekend we went to the Renaissance Fair and had so much fun. It was in Irwindale which is a good hour plus drive but well worth it.

Always lots to see at the Renaissance Fair.  Lots of people playing their part and lots of visitors dressed up and in the spirit.  As Moonie the performer said \”Renaissance Fairs are not a time to act cool.  It\’s a time to act like the dorks we are\”.

The obligatory turkey leg.

The queen was making her rounds so I took a selfie with the queen.

We had great seats for the jousting match.

Ha ha!  Quinn really got in the spirit for rooting for our knight wearing red and black.

It was lots of fun cheering on our knight.

Baby chickens of some sort.

A fun day had by all!

The Yankees

Baseball has kept us busy the last couple of months with practice once a week and games twice a week. We have two more weeks or four more games before the playoffs start.   Our team started really strong and was the team to beat but the kids have been struggling so I\’m not sure how far we will get in the playoffs.  (Hopefully not far…shhhhh!)
Quinn still doesn\’t enjoy baseball, practice or games.  This is our last season of team sports for a while.   He will continue with swimming, take the summer off, and then maybe try karate or piano lessons or something else.
Regardless, this kid is pretty awesome.
