On Sunday we went to Universal Studios with the Conrath\’s. 

We got the early entry which allows you to get in the park one hour before it opens.  Hayden\’s sister brought a friend along too. 

A frozen butterbeer!  So yummy.  It was about 8:30 am and I didn\’t think I could handle that much sugar so early so we shared one.

The empty backstreets of Hogsmeade.  It\’s great to get there early to enjoy before the masses arrive. 

The kids each had a magic wand that was interactive in certain places.  You had to move it in a specific way in order to make some magic. 

We spent a full day and did all the rides and a show.  Fun times!

Quinn\’s buddy Hayden has an older sister who is very artistically talented.  She offered to decorate my cast and I wholeheartedly agreed.

In action.  She sketched out my initial A on Saturday and then we finished up on Sunday.  You can see the original color of the cast is a light blue.  She did the whole thing with Sharpies and Copic markers.

We have a shared love of sunsets.

One last post about this years Odyssey season.

The two teams that went to the state competition were honored at the Lang Ranch pep rally.  The school council members conduct the rally.  Here they are.

Quinn thought they were going to have to do their performance and was so nervous that he was going to embarrass himself in front of the whole school.  Instead he just stood and smiled 😀
