Quinn was not pleased with going back to school. He enjoys his summers!

But while the kid was away, the parents did play! Now that Don has retired, the days are taking on a new shape.

First, we took a nice long morning walk.

There is a tradition at Quinn’s school that the parents decorate the Senior kids cars in the school parking lot. We kept it pretty simple & safe. Quinn happened to be parked next to his friend Nathan whose mother painted the Regiment goose on the rear windshield.

After decorating Quinn’s car we headed to Van Nuys to a famous burger joint, Bill’s Burgers. It was good but no better than In-n-Out and then on to Portos for their famous pastries. A little first day of school treat for Quinn.

We rounded out our day with some very hot and sweaty pickleball.

It’s funny how Quinn’s first day of school was all about Don & Amy.
