At the end of Band Camp, the Regiment (aka Marching Band) performs for family and friends. We have a big potluck at 6 pm and this year we had about 125 people attend. It’s a great way to kick off the year and foster the band community environment.
Before the kids perform, the parents are invited on to the field to walk in the shoes of their kids.

This year there are 26 Seniors in the Regiment, which is huge compared to the last couple of years, and the Senior parents are really close and super active in the band. So, we are trying to make it the best Senior year ever and I’m leading the charge. The kids have this Goose statue in the Band Room that they love and frequently dress up for various occasions so I had this special pin made for the seniors.

The Band Director had a special ceremony recognizing each senior and we handed out the pins.

I’m taking this all in and enjoying every last moment.
