We were up bright and early to catch the ferry to Milos. The ferry was huge with passengers and cars and it was about a 3 hour trip to Milos, stopping at several islands on the way.

It was a little windy on the ferry! Milos is a very quiet island which was a nice change after the hustle & bustle of Athens.
We walked through this cute little neighborhood on the top of Milos.
At sunset we went to the fishing village of Klima. These colorful houses are built directly on the water. Really beautiful.
The Gang.

Next stop Sarakiniko.

The OG Thailand Crew.

The guys doing their thing.
Me Ra capturing the guys.
We had packed a lunch and moved on to Golden Sand Beach in our little Suzukis.
I really wanted to swim in the Aegean Sea while in Greece but that day was pretty chilly and the water is also cold. But Cherie and I made a pinky promise that we would swim the next day.

That night Me Ra & Brian had a surprise for us, which kinda fell flat. It was a Grecian BBQ at Nico’s house (Nico owned the hotel we stayed in). But to get there, we had to drive on the worst bumpy, rocky, winding roads to what felt like the end of the earth. And once we got there, we found out that there wasn’t a bathroom. Only “au natural”. OK, it was pretty gorgeous and the food was great. But, the drivers wanted to leave before sunset so we could find our way home.
The next day we went back to the fishing village of Klima as it was less windy and the water was calmer. These two pictures were taken 1 day apart from about the same spot.

Then it was on to Cape Kastana beach to keep my pinky promise. The photo of me in the water is with Me Ra but I know there is a photo out there of Cherie & I. The water was gorgeous.

Fishing Village Mantrakia
We loved our quiet, beach time on Milos.

Our little Suzuki in front of the hotel.
Last breakfast with a view.
Next stop, Santorini.
