We spent another fabulous week at the Mayan Princess in Roatan. Our main goal was scuba diving but we also find staying at this all-inclusive resort is very relaxing and stress free. We got the same exact unit as our las visit which made us very happy.

We woke up to this beautiful view.

Let the diving begin. This is our first vacation where we dove every day for a total of 11 dives each. Up at 6:30 am every morning and on the boat at 8:15 am for 2 morning dives. Back for lunch around noon and then we relaxed the rest of the day and went to bed early.
We saw these cool squid hanging out near the line of the boat.

And another lovely sunset.

On Monday Quinn started his Advanced Open Water Certification with a Dive Instructor while Don and I dove with the Dive Master but we were all on the same boat.

We finally found a Seahorse! It was so tiny just clinging to a coral at the bottom. It was pretty exciting to see!

Don found this Moray Eel who seemed to look right at me.

Quinn’s favorite spot on the boat.

Never get tired of this view.

Quinn had to do a wreck dive for his Advanced Open Water Certification and we were lucky enough to go along with him. On the way down an Eagle Ray swam right by Don. The wreck was 104 feet down, which is really, really deep and we couldn’t stay at that depth very long.
Quinn had to swim through the hull of the ship for his certification and in the bottom right picture you can see him exiting the hull.

The dive shop professional photographer was with us on this dive and got this picture of us sitting on the front of the ship.

More underwater scenes. We definitely took more pictures below surface than above.

Another Seahorse and a couple of crabby-lobstery things in a coral.

Taking a break between dives.

You have to look really closely here but a Hammerhead Shark swam right by us on our last dive. You can barely see a light sharky shape in the middle left of the picture.

Pictures by James the pro photographer. Quinn was constantly running out of air first and having to come up before everyone else. And then I noticed in these pics that he seems to have a leek in the back of his tank. You can see the little trail of bubbles behind him.

And that’s a wrap. Just a great week with new adventures and lots of R & R.
