All Band, All the Time

Another weekend full of Marching Band activities. On Friday night they performed at a home football game. The middle school advanced bands joined them and there were about 60 middle school kids. They had a great time and hopefully its a good sign for more kids joining the marching band next year.

The Sousaphone players.

After a late Friday night for the football game, the kids were back at school at 7:45 am Saturday morning for picture day. I’m on the uniform team so I had to be there at 7:30 am to get the Uniform Shed open and get ready for the kids and all their uniform malfunctions.

The kids looking good. I’ll get the official portrait later.

Our handsome sousaphone player.

Color Guard arm-in-arm racing back to get changed.

There was a partial eclipse Saturday morning and we were able to see if through special glasses. We also caught these super cool shadows on the photography truck.

After pictures, the band had practice on the football field until 5:30 pm. Here’s a shot of the kids on the field. Quinn is on the left side with his elbows resting on the highest block.

Quinn has such long days but the kids always have so much fun together. Quinn might moan and groan about getting up in the morning but he never complains about going.
