It’s hard to believe that I have turned 60. It hits differently than other big birthdays. Harder. Older. But it’s unavoidable.
You might remember I started the celebration in July in Siesta Key.

We continued the celebration with a schwanky dinner out on my birthday Friday night. I wore the most sparkly shirt I could find (of course with jeans because it’s California).
We like to celebrate at Mastro’s steakhouse and they always finish with a special dessert. Tonight was butter cake and cheescake.

On Saturday night we had a catered dinner party at our house. We started the evening with a bottle of Dom Perignon. So yummy and only for special, special occasions.

The beautiful charcuterie board.

The forecast for the evening was rain and cool weather so we wrapped the patio in curtains and got a couple of outdoor space heaters. It was so fun to celebrate with friends!

The caterer brought a lemon raspberry tart and I also made mom’s German Chocolate Cake which was always our traditional birthday cake.

60 ain’t so grand but the celebrations with friends and family were pretty great!
