Friday Night Lights

Westlake High School had their 1st home game of the season which means Regiment had their 1st performance.

Warming up before the game.

There was a very big senior class last year so Regiment lost quite a few of kids and didn’t gain that many — COVID really hit the band programs hard but the band should start growing again next year.

Getting ready to go on the field. In the 2nd picture you can see the Drum Majors in front. The one in the middle, Mitchell, is a senior and the two on either side are juniors and are Junior Drum Majors (Mitch is in charge!).

The WHS fight song and W. Regiment is not quite ready to perform their halftime show yet.

This week we were playing Thousand Oaks High School and were expecting a big crowd so the band played from the field/track. There are 4 sousaphone players this year (only 3 tonight).

You might have heard that a WHS football player died suddenly this week. He had an asthma attack earlier in the week and was in the hospital when he died. Westlake hit with tragedy again.
