It’s going to be a good day when I wake up to a beautiful sunrise.

For my birthday, Don got me a photography drone. Drone’s are becoming very popular with mainstream photography for weddings, etc. I thought it would be a fun way to stretch my creativity. Although to be honest, I was scared shitless to get it in the air.
First, I gave it a go in the driveway. The controller is set up so that you attach your phone and that is your screen with commands. The controller has joy sticks to maneuver the drone.

I gathered my strength and took it to a local, wide open park. The drone has a safety mechanism that you can always hit “Return to Home” and it will automatically return to where it took off. Here are some of my first shots. I stood in the sun so that I would create a long shadow and be easy to find.
A couple of drone selfies. This park is popular for dogs and as you can see if the 3rd picture, this dog wanted to eat my drone.
A 47 second video of the drone flying back to home. It was in ‘auto’ mode so it’s super smooth and controlled. It’s sped up a little so cars and people will look like they are going fast.
I’m looking forward to alot more adventures with this little drone.
