Goof Ball!

This one was very content on the bed playing a game on the iPad.

Then he saw that I had my camera in hand and decided to put on a show for me.   He couldn\’t resist appreciating his own handsome-ness in the mirror.

My First Week of Macro

Yep, I\’m in another Clickinmoms class and this time it\’s Macro.  Basically close up photography.

It is such a refreshing change from following the boy around and trying to get great pictures of a moving target without any distracting elements in the background.

For the next 4 weeks it\’s just me, my camera, my tripod, and stationary objects.  The first week was so much fun and I really got lost in my macro photography.

Here are some of my shots from the first week where we were encouraged to look for details in the ordinary.

Like a lamp shade.

A well used jewelry box.

Buddha.

A rolled up scarf in color and b/w.

We had a fun challenge of photographing oil drops in water with Quinn\’s colorful school artwork in the background.  This was so much fun, even Quinn helped.

100th Geocache!

We have so much fun geocaching as a family.

It\’s a way for us to get outdoors, discover new places, get a little exercise and have some fun.  Quinn loves to go \”hunting for treasure\”.

We were looking forward to breaking the 100 mark with our 100th find.  We did so on Saturday at Cheesequake State Park with Lobsters on the Loose.   There was a series of hidden caches that were labeled as family friendly and Quinn was delighted to see a toy car in our 100th find.
