I was so happy to have mom here to celebrate my birthday.  Even at the age of 48, I still need my mom.  On Thursday morning mom and Quinn baked me the Cantelo tradition German Chocolate Cake.

I know there are raw eggs in the batter, but what fun is baking a cake if you can\’t lick the beater?

Mom brought Quinn a pair of Lightening McQueen racing goggles.  Quinn thought they were pretty great.   Grams took a break from baking and sat on Quinn\’s kitchen stool.  Quinn pulled up a chair to sit right beside her.   He loves his Grams!
